Abraham Lincoln because he was ahead of his time and suffered a lot because of that, but he stood for what was right and he never gave up on his dream.

What is your most played song?
Right now I think my most played song is White Iverson by Post Malone. If you haven’t heard this man, you need to get on it.

What is your favorite meal?
Probably my fiancé’s chicken parmesan. It takes a long time to make but it is worth every second. She needs to open her own restaurant.

What characteristic do you most value in a person?
This is a tough one. I would have to say Honesty/Loyalty. I believe that people should be able to trust one another no matter what.

What is your favorite indoor and/or outdoor activity?
My favorite outdoor activity has to be water polo. I played when I was in high school and all throughout college at The Florida State University, and still continue to play now. It is a lot of fun and a great way to stay in shape.

If you could choose any mentor (living or deceased) who would it be and why?
It would have to be the legend George Washington. His leadership was unbelievable and for him to have the bravery to take on such a huge nation in England was unreal.

What is your favorite vacation destination and why?
My favorite vacation destination is hands down Heidelberg, Germany. My family lives over there and the place is beautiful. Hanging out on the river or touring the castle is always a great time. The best part about it all are the amazing beers that we don’t get to have over here.

What would you title/name your autobiography?
Daniel Craig: The Real James Bond – Licensed to Pod (well working on it).

What is something new you learned this week, not related to school, that others may find interesting?
NBA 2K18 is a great time.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
Grammatical errors: “their” “they’re” “there” / “your” “you’re”

Where is one place you want to travel to and why?
I would like to travel back in time between 2550-2490 BC to figure out how the ancient Egyptians were able to build the Pyramids of Giza.

What characteristic do you most value in a person?
I value a person’s ability to accept others for who they truly are without passing judgment. Gender and skin color are just phenotypes, a random rearrangement of genotype made from the same basic nucleotides – A, G, T, C.

What is your favorite indoor and/or outdoor activity?
I find abstract painting the most relaxing and rewarding activity that one can perform regardless of location. What I love most is the response to a particular finished or unfinished artwork. In a multicultural society such as the United States of America, the intended purpose of an abstract painting can be interpreted through different lenses, cultures, experiences, to mean something completely different to each one of us. In this case, the painting serves as a catalyst for unlocking the subconscious mind to find our own meaning in itself. This is why I value teamwork above all else as it offers a different perspective and point of view on the same subject.

If you could choose any mentor (living or deceased) who would it be and why?
My best mentor and role model is Ovidiu Grecea. He wore many hats: head of the Government’s Anti-Corruption Department, Governor of Bucharest, State Secretary, and Diplomat. But most important of all, loving father. I owe him everything I am today.

Share one small change you made in your life that had a big impact.
Understanding we are only limited by perfection, I stopped placing constraints on myself. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you believe and allow yourself to do it.

What would you title/name your autobiography?
Dracula’s incomprehensible ramblings

What is something new you learned this week, not related to school, that others may find interesting?
This may not be backed up by a proper scientific data, but if you put love into the brownie mix, they will taste better.

Finish this sentence, “People would be surprised to learn that...”
…I lived in over 13 countries and I speak 5 languages.

What is your most played song?
Right Back at it Again by A Day to Remember

What is your favorite meal?
My mom’s homemade chicken parmesan.

What characteristic do you most value in a person?
Being genuine. Someone who stays true to their personality, is trustworthy, and dependable.

What is your favorite spot in Philadelphia?
There are so many good spots to choose from. Believe it or not, one of my favorite things to do is to go for a run on the Ben Franklin Bridge. It’s a great way for me to get some exercise and relieve some stress. I also love the view of the skyline in the background.

If you could choose any mentor (living or deceased) who would it be and why?
A friend and former boss of mine, Dr. Lisa Hutto, has been a great mentor and role model to me. I worked with her full time in my year off between college and podiatry school. As the sole physician in a very successful private practice, she demonstrated that hard work, dedication, and exemplary patient care are some of the keys to being a good physician. One day I hope to impact the careers of rising physicians as much as she did mine.

Why did you get into the field of Podiatry?
When I was in college, much like most of the other pre-med students, I spent time shadowing physicians in various specialties. One day after speaking to my grandfather, who frequently saw his podiatrist, I decided to give podiatry a try. After several days of shadowing and learning more about the profession I decided that I liked the idea of specializing on an area of the body from the beginning while still having a wide variety of things to do within the field. I saw early on the impact our profession has on our patients which is also very important to me.

What is your favorite vacation destination and why?
Anywhere with a beach. Some of my favorites are Myrtle Beach, SC, Folly Beach, SC, and Siesta Key, FL. The beach is a great place to relax with friends and family, spend some time outdoors, and cool off in the summer time.

If you could go back in time to give advice to your ten-year-old self, what would you say?
I would tell my ten-year-old self to have as much fun and spend as much time with friends and family as possible because the older and busier you get the more challenging it will be to enjoy those things as much as you used to.

What is something new you learned this week, not related to school, that others may find interesting?
The gravity on Mars is approximately one-third the gravity on Earth. So chances are we’d all be able to dunk a basketball on Mars.

What is your most played song?
Remember The Name – Fort Minor

What is your favorite meal?
Burgers and beer. But pizza is a close third, behind beer and burgers, respectively.

What characteristic do you most value in a person?
Hands down, a sense of humor. Life can be so brutal at times. It’s best to share it with people who can make you laugh, and can laugh at themselves.

What is your favorite indoor and/or outdoor activity?
I admittedly lead a pretty boring life.  I wish I could answer this with something exciting, but then I would be a liar. However, I’ve been fortunate enough to keep my competitive running dream alive throughout my time at KSUCPM, so I would have to say my favorite (albeit, only) activity is to run.

If you could choose any mentor (living or deceased) who would it be and why?
I’m fortunate enough to already have a great mentor, who is alive and well! Dr. Mark Mendeszoon of Precision Orthopedics has been a professional mentor and track coach of mine for 15 years. He absolutely loves the sport of track and field and respects all athletes that walk through his door, regardless of ability. Because of this, all of his patients trust him implicitly with their care. If I can be half the podiatrist he is for his patients, and half of the leader in track and field that he is, I would feel fulfilled.

Share one small change you made in your life that had a big impact.
Bedtime before 10. In high school, my mom always told me “nothing good happens after midnight” to encourage me to make good decisions and get home. Now that I’m 10 years removed from high school, I changed her words to “nothing good happens after 9 PM”.
If you want to have your cake and eat it too, you have to learn how to manage the same 24 hours in a day that everyone else has. I found out that I am more productive in the mornings and I am able to take advantage of that by going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. This small change has given me the ability to make the most of my 24 hours in a day. BONUS: I get at least 7 hours of sleep that way, because rarely do I wake up before 5 AM.

What is your favorite vacation destination and why?
Cape Cod, Massachusetts…. But also, my only vacation destination?
My boyfriend’s family has a house there and we love to go in the summer or fall. It’s a cute town on the water with nice beaches, pools, and running paths. My ideal vacation is one where I can eat, sleep, run and sit by a pool.

What would you title/name your autobiography?
All Eyez On Me

What is something new you learned this week, not related to school, that others may find interesting?
Scotland’s national animal is the unicorn

Finish this sentence, “People would be surprised to learn that I…..”
Still have my baby blanky. Granted, it’s more of a cloth at this point, but it comes with me on vacation, and when I travel for races.
